Report for April 12th, 1945.
Good evening, Los Angeles. We've recieved news that will be sure to hit the country with a terrible blow this evening. This afternoon, when sitting getting a portrait painted of himself, President Roosevelt had been complaining of terrible a terrible headache. Beforehand, he'd been laughing and joking with close friends. All of a sudden, he passed out. Some of Mr. Roosevelt's aides took him and lay him on his bed, where he lay for a while in a coma-state. To our dismay, he died this afternoon at 3:35 PM of a cerebral hemmorhage. It is with great regret that I bring to you such terrible news, America. President Roosevelt will remain deeply missed, and will forever be in our hearts (Hamilton, 1).

Report for April 06th, 1946.
One can't help but feel bad for President Harry S. Truman. His first year of presidency can be described as a "year of decisions." He had to help deal with ending the war in Europe. He also had to finalize decisions with the war with Japan at an overseas conference. Really, what a busy guy! He also had to approve and figure out the sending of two atomic bombs back in August. Sure, it wasn't the best thing he could have done, but he did what he needed to, and he got it done pretty efficiently (Biographical 1). Luckily, soon after bombs were dropped on Hiroshima, Japan surrendered. Also, during this past year, Truman got to witness the signing of the charter for the United Nations. Hopefully, this will bring peace like it's supposed to. Truman sure was a busy man this past year. Let's all encourage him to take a nap! He is doing well, though. Good luck, buddy.
